Prior learning, check-ins
Canva provides a way for students to share their understanding on an online platform. Students might also share information regarding their interests and learning preferences (pg. 31). The teacher would be able to take this information and adjust their teaching strategies accordingly. It is important to discover what students already know (pg. 31) before continuing with overall and specific course expectations. In this way, teachers can scaffold next steps in response to student needs (pg. 31).
The application itself, Canva, provides differentiation through text, images, symbols, colours, and an aspect of the outdoors, as needed.
